I headed up to the Bruce Peninsula in early October to both visit my son working at the BP Bird Observatory at Cabot Head as well as get some hiking in on the trail.
On arriving, I met my son in Lionshead and parked 1 car north of the town, came back to town and did a short afternoon hike. The trail follows a road, with lots of cottages, looking out over Georgian Bay.
The second day, I did a longer hike. We parked my car around Cape Chin South and he drove me back to the trail just north of Lionshead. I left the cottages following the shoreline escarpment north.
As usual, the scenery long the walk north was spectacular.
