The Grotto,Driftwood Cove and Tobermory - Hike 52

 My last trip to the Peninsula for this end to end hike of the Bruce Trail. I came up for 3 days and stayed 2 nights at a hotel in Tobermory.

I drove out to the Nat'l Park and hiked the trail north from the 145.2km mark to Cooney's Dump at the 151.0km mark - and then back to the car and to the hotel.

The 2nd day I drove to the Dunks Bay parking lot at the 162.5km mark and hiked south along the trail back to Cooney's Dump - and then back to the car and to the hotel.

My last day of hiking, I got a ride out to the Dunks Bay parking lot and hiked the final Bruce Trail segment into Tobermory and the BTC Northern terminus cairn.

A way more years than I thought this end to end would take, but incredible to have finished my first end to end!

Halfway Dump and the Nat'l Park - Hike 51

 Up again for 2 days of hiking and camping at the BP nat'l Park.

1st day of hiking I drove to the Halfway Dump Road parking lot, hiked to the shore and the Halfway Dump remote campsite, and hiked south from the 140.7km marker to High Dump at the 134.6km mark. I hiked back to the car and drove back to camp at the campground.

My 2nd day of hiking was from the Nat'l Park campground out to the trail at the 145.2km mark - I hiked south to halfway Dump at the 140.7km mark. I then returned to the campground and headed home.

Off to High Dump - Hike 50

Up to the Bruce peninsula again for a couple of days of hiking in early September - it's been almost a year since last hiking.

I set up to camp at Trout Mountain CG just north of Dyers Bay. I had someone from the camp follow me out to the end of my 1st day hike and then drive me back to just north of Dyers Bay. The hike was mostly along Lindsay Road 40 and Crane Lake Road. I finished up the 1st day at my car parked at the Crane Lake parking lot.

The 2nd day of hiking started at the Crane Lake parking lot - I hiked 8km into High Dump to the remote BP Nat'l Park campsite - I hiked back to my car and headed home.
